How Metadata Remover handles your data β all processing happens in your browser, nothing is uploaded.
2025/03/10
Metadata Remover is a pure-frontend image-metadata tool site. Every tool runs entirely in your browser β viewing, removing, editing, adding, copying, and comparing image metadata (EXIF, XMP, IPTC, GPS, C2PA Content Credentials) all happen client-side in JavaScript. Your images are never uploaded to any server. This privacy policy explains the limited data we do process and how third-party advertising works on the site.
Because all image processing happens locally on your device, we do not collect, store, or transmit your images or the metadata within them. We also do not require accounts and do not collect your name, email address, or contact details.
The only information stored on your device is local preferences:
To keep our tools free, this site displays ads through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Non-personalized ads may still be served to users who reject consent, as permitted by Google's policies.
All image processing takes place in your browser; files never leave your device. Data transmitted between your browser and our servers (for serving the website itself) uses HTTPS. We do not maintain a backend database containing user content.
We do not sell your personal data.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or other regions with data-protection laws, you have the right to:
Because we do not collect personal data directly, these rights primarily concern the advertising cookies set by Google. To exercise rights regarding Google's advertising data, use the tools at Google Ads Settings and Google Privacy & Terms.
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised date.
